2027 Community Events Honoree Nominations
Grand Leprechaun Nomination
Deadline Friday, Nov. 20, 2026, at 5 p.m.
Selection Criteria
- Must be an active leader(s) in the community on a volunteer basis
- Must have made significant contributions to the Dublin community, outside of work requirements, in the last three years.
- Must attend the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
- May not be a current elected official or running for office
- May not have been recognized by the City of Dublin in the last 5 years.
- Nominations submitted anonymously will not be considered
- May reside outside of Dublin
Grand Leprechaun Roles
- Serve as media spokesperson
- Preside over the parade
- Attend the Grand Leprechaun luncheon following the parade
- Participate in the opening parade at the Dublin Irish Festival
Honorary Chair
Deadline Thursday, Dec. 17, 2026, at 5 p.m.
Selection Criteria
- Must be a financial supporter of the Dublin Irish Festival through cash sponsorship, in-kind sponsorship or VIP Club membership.
- Must be of Irish heritage and/or a supporter of Irish culture and the Festival.
- Must be a contributor to the Dublin community.
- Must be a recognized Dublin and/or Central Ohio community leader.
- Must attend the Dublin Irish Festival.
- May not be a current elected official or running for office.
- May not have been recognized by the City of Dublin in the last 5 years.
Roles
- Attend April and July Committee Meetings
- Start the 5K and Kids Dash Races
- Attend the Honorary Chair Reception, Welcome Ceremony, Festival Dedication, & Festival Finale
- Serve as media spokesperson and attend select promotional events throughout the year
- VIP Club visits throughout the weekend
- Judge Wee Folk contests
Ongoing
- Serve on the selection committee for future Honorary Chairs
- Assist staff with attracting, maintaining and maximizing sponsorship opportunities
- Volunteer at the Emerald Club as a past Honorary Chair
- Opportunity to participate in parades and promotional events for the City of Dublin and the Dublin Irish Festival

Selection Criteria
- Must be a resident(s) of the City of Dublin for the last three years or a corporate citizen(s) of the City of Dublin for the last three years
- Must be an active leader(s) in the community on a volunteer basis
- Must have been involved in service projects or volunteer efforts, outside of work requirements, in the last three years
- Must attend the Independence Day Parade and Celebration
- May not be a current elected official or running for office
- May not have been recognized by the City of Dublin in the last 5 years
- Nominations made anonymously will not be considered
Grand Marshall Roles
- Serve as media spokesperson
- Preside over the Parade and Evening Celebration
- Judge the table decorating contest at the Evening Celebration
