Overview
The City of Dublin will temporarily close Dublin Road at Tuttle Road to complete an emergency storm sewer repair. The project involves replacing a failing galvanized storm sewer pipe that has caused sinkholes near the roadway. Crews will remove the damaged pipe, install new storm sewer infrastructure and restore the roadway with new asphalt upon completion.
Closure Information
Dublin Road will be closed at Tuttle Road for approximately five days while work is completed. The closure is anticipated to begin in early November, although the exact start date remains dependent on material availability and contractor scheduling.
Detour
Through traffic will be detoured via: Dublin Road → Frantz Road → Rings Road → Dublin Road
Detour signage will be posted throughout the area to guide motorists around the closure. Local access will be maintained where possible, and emergency services will be accommodated through the work zone as needed.
What Residents Can Expect
- Full closure of Dublin Road at Tuttle Road during construction.
- Increased traffic along the posted detour route.
- Construction activity and equipment in the area during working hours.
- Roadway restoration, including new asphalt pavement, following completion of the storm sewer replacement.
Why This Work Is Needed
The existing galvanized storm sewer pipe has deteriorated and contributed to sinkholes near the roadway. Replacing the pipe now will address the failing infrastructure and help prevent further roadway damage.
