Active Loading Areas

Active Loading Areas are specially designated curbside zones in Downtown Dublin designed for short-term stops where drivers are actively loading or unloading passengers, goods or deliveries. These areas help keep traffic flowing smoothly and ensure convenient access for businesses, residents, and visitors.

These spaces are reserved for delivery drivers, rideshare services, Dublin Connector and residents and visitors actively loading or unloading people or items (passengers with mobility aids, luggage, packages, mobile food orders etc.).

Why Are They Important?

  • Prevents congestion and double-parking
  • Improves safety for pedestrians and cyclists
  • Supports access to local businesses and events

What Are They Used For?

  • Picking up your mobile coffee/lunch/dinner order
  • Dropping off a package at the front desk
  • Grabbing your suitcase after a trip
  • Loading/unloading passengers for a rideshare service

Available Parking Downtown

To support residents, visitors and surrounding businesses, the City is testing and implementing technologies that support real-time monitoring of occupancy levels in key parking garages and public parking lots. Currently, Park Pow technology is installed at the Rock Cress (library) Garage. The City may expand to additional garages as data is collected. Parking in the Rock Cress Garage is free.

Gate arms are being installed at the Rock Cress Parking Garage entrances and exits and will be operational by the end of February. Parking remains free. This effort aims to slow traffic, improving safety for drivers and pedestrians.

Public Records Request Overview

In order to support faster response and better tracking of requests, the City of Dublin uses JustFOIA to collect, respond to and manage public information requests.

Why JustFOIA?

JustFOIA is a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) online application that helps streamline the open records request process for the community and improve efficiencies in getting requested information quickly and accurately.

The application lets community members submit requests for all city records, including police reports. Commonly requested information includes accident reports, copies of resolutions and body-camera video.
