Heat Exchanger Update
What is the heat exchanger?
The heat exchanger is the main component responsible for ensuring that the pool water is maintained at a certain temperature.
Why is there a delay in receiving the replacement?
Heat exchangers are not stock items that can be grabbed off of the shelf. Our HVAC contractor is having difficulties getting a new heat exchanger shipped to them; the original supplier provided a ship date and recently told our contractor that they “lost” the order. Our contractor has ordered a heat exchanger from a different supplier. Again, since this is not a stock item it will take approximately 10 days for the exchanger to arrive.
What about the pool temperature in mean time?
Our facilities department has taken extraordinary measure to get the pool temperatures in the 84 to 87 degree range. Reviewing the readings the temperature has been averaging 86/87 degrees, with our typical temperature readings between 87 to 89 degrees.
Our facilities department will get the heat exchanger replaced as soon as the replacement arrives. Options are also being considered to deal with this problem more effectively in the future. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to get this fixed.
