Food Trucks in Dublin

Food trucks add flavor, energy and a welcoming gathering place to our community. The City of Dublin is introducing new guidelines to help food truck operators serve residents, employees and visitors safely while supporting public spaces, nearby businesses and community events.

These guidelines outline where food trucks may operate, how operators can reserve approved locations and what is needed to operate food trucks in Dublin.

Pilot Period

Dublin will use a pilot period (July 9, 2026, to March 1, 2027) to evaluate designated locations, operations and community feedback before the City food truck license requirement begins.

During the pilot period, operators will not be required to apply for or maintain a City of Dublin food truck license. However, food truck operators will be asked to provide a valid and current Food Service Operations License with their first request to reserve a designated food truck parking zone.

The City’s food truck license requirement is expected to begin March 1, 2027. Operators will be required to submit documentation showing they are authorized and prepared to operate safely and legally in Dublin. Each food truck will need its own application.

Food Truck Operators – Reserve Your Spot

During the pilot period, food truck operators may reserve designated City of Dublin public sites through the Street Food Finder portal.

To participate, operators must have an active Ohio Food Service Operations License and current insurance coverage. Operators may apply to join the “City of Dublin Parks and Roadways” group on Street Food Finder by uploading the required documentation. Once submitted, the materials will be reviewed and verified by a City designee before the operator is approved to reserve eligible City sites.

Food trucks operating in public spaces must use designated food truck parking zones. The City has identified 12 approved locations to support safe traffic flow, pedestrian access, parking availability and a positive community experience. Two of the 12 locations have two-hour parking restrictions. These are marked on Street Food Finder.

Operating Guidelines

Food truck operators are expected to follow City guidelines while operating in Dublin. In general, food trucks may operate between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Operators should review the full ordinance for complete requirements, including rules related to parking, equipment, signage, waste disposal, power and water sources, events, private property and neighborhood operations.
