(Dublin, Ohio) –– The City of Dublin has selected Jeremy Hoyt, P.E., as its new Director of Engineering following a nationwide search. Hoyt, who currently serves as Assistant City Manager/Public Utilities Director for the City of Marysville, will begin his new role with the City on Sept. 1, where he will lead the Engineering Division and oversee the planning, design and delivery of infrastructure projects that support Dublin’s continued growth, mobility and quality of life while advancing the goals of the Envision Dublin Community Plan.
Hoyt brings more than 25 years of engineering and leadership experience, including eight years in engineering consulting and nearly 17 years with the City of Marysville. During his tenure, he led approximately $200 million in infrastructure and capital improvement projects while overseeing engineering, utilities, transportation, stormwater, parks, facilities, capital improvement planning, development coordination and cross-departmental operations.

Hoyt earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.

Hoyt succeeds City Engineer Paul Hammersmith, who will retire later this year following 26 years of service to the City of Dublin. The City partnered with executive recruitment firm Raftelis to conduct a nationwide search. Candidates participated in a comprehensive selection process that evaluated technical expertise, leadership, employee engagement and the ability to lead a complex engineering organization.
