Each year, at Dublin City Council’s retreat, members discuss their goals for the City, determining which ones have been met and which ones we want to continue to pursue. As a result, Dublin City Council hereby adopts the following goals for 2024-2025
Fiber to Every Home Implementation: Plan for initial construction and customer installation, achieving 25% deployment in 2024.
Reposition the Metro Center legacy office park by implementing the vision, goals, and land use recommendations outlined in the Dublin Corporate Area Plan within the Envision Dublin Community Plan. Develop a design and implementation framework that creates a distinctive identity, encourages dynamic reinvestment, provides a vibrant mix of uses in a walkable environment, and promotes sustainable design principles. Identify opportunities for public and private partnerships for catalytic projects that transform the Metro Center area.
Begin implementation of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan with a focus on cultivating an environment that embodies both recreation and economic vibrancy.
Develop and implement a local and regional community events program and management roadmap. Leverage Dublin parks and facilities to create a connected, comprehensive, and fiscally sustainable vision that drives vitality, engagement, and entertainment.
Dublin has a long been known for thinking ahead. The City has developed numerous strategic plans through the years to serve resident and employer needs through all aspects of municipal government. This thoughtful planning has led to the vibrant, historic district and the exciting new Bridge Street District, which are woven together by the internationally-recognized Dublin Link pedestrian bridge spanning the Scioto. These are just two of several versatile districts that unite a proud history with an exuberant and innovative future.
In 2020, Dublin City Council established a goal to develop a Dublin 2035 Visionary Framework. After an extensive planning and public engagement effort, Dublin City Council adopted a new Strategic Framework on July 25, 2022. The values we hold most dear and the guiding principles we adhere to make it possible for Dublin to be bold in its vision. As described in the following pages, Dublin aspires to be the most sustainable, connected and resilient global city of choice.
The Framework outlines goals related to the City’s economic, fiscal and environmental stewardship; world-class services and amenities; and physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. It also includes goals related to our state-of-the-art infrastructure, including expansive broadband capability that ensures a minimum of 10-gigabit access to all residents, businesses and visitors.
With this Strategic Framework in place and an elite, professional team of elected officials and City employees at work, Dublin is in an outstanding position to continue thriving as a model democracy and exceptional community with the best quality of life.
In order to support faster response and better tracking of requests, the City of Dublin uses JustFOIA to collect, respond to and manage public information requests.
JustFOIA is a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) online application that helps streamline the open records request process for the community and improve efficiencies in getting requested information quickly and accurately.
The application lets community members submit requests for all city records, including police reports. Commonly requested information includes accident reports, copies of resolutions and body-camera video.
The complete Dublin City Code is available online at American Legal City Ordinance website. Information staff at the Dublin branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library are available to help navigate this website.
This Revised Charter, as adopted on March 19, 1996, became effective on July 4, 1996.
The Zoning Code for Dublin is Chapter 153 of the Dublin Code of Ordinances. The Zoning Code sets land development requirements and establishes different uses within individual districts. Zoning regulations address the physical development of a site, such as building height, lot requirements, setbacks from lot lines, minimum numbers of parking spaces, sign types and sizes, and other related regulations.
We are and always have been a proud local democracy. In our service, we strive to provide the best quality of life and environment in which our residents and businesses can thrive. We seek to ally our proud traditions with the best innovations of the future.
