2024 Fill-A-Cruiser Holiday Toy Drive

(Dublin, Ohio) — For the sixth year in a row, the Dublin Police Department is collecting donated toys for local kids who may otherwise not receive a gift this holiday season. The 2024 Fill-A-Cruiser toy drive is in partnership with the Get Behind The Badge initiative directed at helping families of first responders in need.

What: Fill-A-Cruiser Holiday Toy Drive

When: Saturday, Dec. 14

Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Dublin Justice Center, 6555 Commerce Parkway

Those who want to participate in this year’s toy drive may drop off unwrapped gifts at the Dublin Justice Center, 6565 Commerce Parkway, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. A drive-thru area for donations will be set up outside the Justice Center.

To help all age groups, community members are asked to donate presents for children in two age categories: newborn to 10 years and 11-17 years old. Gift cards are also accepted and can make enjoyable gifts for young adults. Additionally, Get Behind the Badge uses gift cards to purchase clothing and other items needed for winter.

“Our toy drive has become second nature here at the Dublin Police Department, and I am proud that our community members are so willing to help bring a little extra holiday cheer to local kids again this December,” Chief of Police Justin Páez says. “It’s encouraging to connect our residents’ generosity with the Get Behind the Badge team in order to support our dedicated first responder families.”

Last year’s Fill-A-Cruiser event benefited more than 143 children.

About Get Behind the Badge

Get Behind the Badge was established in 2001 after the line-of-duty death of Whitehall Police Officer Terry McDowell.
