(Dublin, Ohio)— To celebrate the American Public Works Association’s National Public Works Week, the City of Dublin is excited to host Experience Public Works Day. Families are invited to the City Service Center (6555 Shier Rings Road) on May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon. Guests will enjoy a morning of exploring and learning about the vehicles and people that keep Dublin moving and thriving.
Organizations attending the event include:
– Dublin Police
– Washington Township
– City of Dublin
– Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District
– Franklin County Public Health
– Columbia Gas of Ohio
Representatives from each organization will be stationed by the trucks to ask questions and help kids climb in and out of the vehicles.
Guests will also have the chance to enjoy activities such as tricycle races, bounce houses and painting a snow plow blade that the City will use during the winter. Multiple food trucks will also attend for families to purchase a mid-morning snack.
“We love any opportunity to showcase what we do and how we impact the community to younger generations,” says City of Dublin Director of Public Service Jay Anderson. “We’re excited to welcome guests to this popular event.”
