(Dublin, Ohio) — During the May 5, 2025 meeting, Dublin City Council approved six applications submitted for the spring 2025 Beautify Your Neighborhood Grant program. The grant applications were first reviewed by the City’s Community Development Committee, which recommended approval.
The Beautify Your Neighborhood Matching Grant Program was established in 2011 to provide funding assistance on an annual basis to support Dublin Homeowners Associations and Civic Associations in enhancing their neighborhood with high-quality, sustainable beautification projects that benefit and enhance the Dublin community.
Spring 2025 Project Descriptions:
Brandon ($3,463.50)
The project is on the north and east sides of the main entryway at Brand Road and Brandonway Drive. This project aims to remove all diseased and dying plants while creating a cohesive and refreshed appearance for the entryways. Dead trees will be removed and replaced, and new mixed plantings will be added.
Cramer’s Crossing ($5,000)
The project is located northwest of the main entryway at Avery Road and Cramer’s Crossing Drive. To beautify the surrounding area of the retention basin, a dead tree will be removed and replaced, and additional plantings will be added in the large landscape bed. Three stone wall sections on the north, east and south sides of the basin will be planted with a perennial flowering plant mix.
Coventry Woods ($5,000)
The project is located on both the east and west sides of the main entryway at the intersection of Brand Road and Coventry Woods Drive. The stone walls along Brand Road will be restored through tuckpointing and the replacement of damaged limestone and cracked CMU blocks.
Lowell Trace ($1,702.96)
The project area is located around the entrance sign at the northwest corner of Avery-Muirfield Drive and Tullymore Drive. The entry feature has lost some of its original plantings, including an ornamental tree that has died. Additionally, the existing shrubs have become overgrown and are no longer sustainable for pruning. New planting in the entryway will include a combination of trees, shrubs, grasses, and perennials.
Tartan Ridge ($1,500)
The project is located at the northwest corner of the main entryway gazebo at Jerome Road and Tartan Ridge Boulevard. Boxwoods will be replaced with a variety of perennials near the entryway gazebo. The enhancement of the entryway will bring more color and visual interest to the neighborhood.
Wexford Woods ($5,000)
The project is in two areas of the neighborhood; the north and south sides of the entryway at Avery Road and Wexford Woods Drive, as well as the north side of the other entryway at Tullymore Drive and Wexford Woods Drive. To enhance these entryways, overgrown landscape will be removed, and boulders will be installed along with a variety of perennials.
The City will be accepting applications for another round of grants in the fall. The Pre-Application deadline is May 30. Neighborhoods interested in more information should visit https://dublinohiousa.gov/beautify-your-neighborhood-matching-grant.
