City Council Approves 5-Year Capital Improvements Program

(Dublin, OH) Dublin City Council has approved a five-year capital improvements program (CIP) for 2024-2028, for $256,481,342 and includes 148 projects over five years.

Key projects within the 2024-2028 CIP include:

  • Darree Fields Park Enhancements – $12.5M
  • Emerald Parkway/Mount Carmel roundabout – $2M
  • Eiterman Road relocation – $7.8M
  • Tuller Road to Emerald Parkway over I-270 – $22.9M

“The five-year CIP provides funding to advance the City’s Strategic Framework and allows us to provide the best quality of life and environment in which our residents and businesses can thrive. The program supports sufficient funding for the maintenance of current assets, funding for parks and recreation opportunities and new projects to enhance the City’s infrastructure, while being good fiscal stewards to the community,” said Director of Finance Matthew Stiffler.

The CIP is a five-year outlook for anticipated capital projects and is reviewed and updated annually by the City. These projects are primarily related to improvements in transportation, parks, utilities and facilities. The CIP represents a long-term financial plan, which establishes priorities, identifies project costs and phasing, identifies funding sources, and serves as a planning document for capital improvements. The projects and their timing are reviewed annually by City Council and adopted by Ordinance.

Council approved the CIP after a second reading at its meeting on Sept. 25, 2023.
