From Hoops to Hometown, City of Dublin Hosts March Madness-Themed Contest to Determine the Community’s Favorite Residential Services

The City of Dublin is putting a twist on March Madness by creating a bracket challenge to highlight the residential services it provides. The campaign will launch March 25 and continue through April 8, when the champion will be announced.

“In 2022, our Park Madness campaign pitted our 64 public parks head-to-head before ultimately determining that Indian Run Falls was the community’s favorite park,” says Director of Public Service Jay Anderson. “This year’s social media campaign shines the spotlight on the world-class services that make Dublin an exceptional community.”

The majority of the services in the lineup can be requested using the GoDublin app or on the City of Dublin website. The GoDublin app has more than 8,500 registered users and gives people a convenient way to request more than 30 City services.

The City’s most popular request by volume is the chipper service. Will it be crowned the Services Madness champion? The power is in our community’s hands! Anyone can vote by visiting the City of Dublin’s Instagram account (@DublinOhio) to pick their favorite City service in each round.

The City has chosen 24 services for the competition, making this a five round competition with voting taking place March 25, 28, April 1 and 4. The championship will be held April 8 to align with the official March Madness schedule.

Voters can win big, too! The public can download, fill out and submit their own Services Madness bracket for their chance to win some Dublin swag to show off their community pride. The City will randomly select one winner from all brackets that are submitted by 11:59 p.m. March 27.
