(Dublin, OH) The City of Dublin has named Robert Ranc the City’s new Deputy City Manager/Chief Operating Officer.
Ranc currently serves as the Deputy City Manager of Burleson, Texas, a city of 43,000, where he manages capital projects, budgets, support and administrative functions. He leads Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Human Resources, Information Technology, Development Services and Neighborhood Services. He also has experience in economic development and performance measurement.
In Dublin, Ranc will oversee daily operations and services including Parks & Recreation, Engineering, Public Service, Fleet & Facilities and Asset Management.
“Robert is a lifelong public servant who has contributed his knowledge, experience and leadership skills in an impressive way in cities similar to Dublin in both size and expectations,” says Dana McDaniel, Dublin City Manager. “He has demonstrated impressive dedication and leadership in providing essential services. I am pleased to add someone with his experience and passion to the City of Dublin’s leadership team.”
Robert is originally from Rocky River, Ohio and says he is excited to return to his home state.
“Dublin has established itself as a premier community in terms of smart planning, fiscal strength, amenities and services,” Ranc said. “I am excited to get to work in Dublin to build on the standard of excellence to which the City is dedicated.”
Ranc earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Master of Public Administration, both from Brigham Young University.
His first day in Dublin will be June 21, 2021.
