(Dublin, OH) The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded City of Dublin the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR) for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2019.
This award recognizes conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government popular reports. The award is open to any state or local government that makes available to the public a popular annual financial report in electronic or physical copy. Reports must conform to the program’s standards of creativity, presentation, understandability and reader appeal.
Independent reviewers commended Dublin’s PAFR for the following:
- overall layout and design
- streamlined information that is easy to understand
- appealing format of the financial data
- length of the report – short enough to keep interest
Dublin’s PAFR for year ending December 31, 2019 is a summarized 10-page version of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, a 271-page document with detailed financial statements, notes and schedules as well as statistical information.
“Transparency and accountability are at the core of what we do,” says Matt Stiffler, City of Dublin Director of Finance. “The Popular Annual Financial Report provides an overview of the City’s revenues and expenses in an easy-to-read format, which is an important aspect of our fiscal stewardship.”
