Mayor Peterson and City Council recognized September as National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. A proclamation was presented to American Cancer Society Executive Director Christine Mills and acute lymphatic lymphoma survivor Abbie Dunn who was diagnosed with cancer at age 3. The American Cancer Society is encouraging people to wear yellow ribbons during September to honor cancer lives lost and cancer survivors.
