The City of Dublin is seeking nominations for its 2022 Grand Leprechaun who serves as a community leader representative for the City’s signature St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with the theme The Greenest, Grandest Parade.
Since 1984, a Grand Leprechaun has been named to lead the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The Greenest Grandest Parade will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022. The parade steps off at 11 a.m. at Metro Center and continues through Historic Dublin.
The deadline for nominations is Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.
Selection Criteria
The individual or couple recognized with this award will meet the following criteria:
- Must be an active leader(s) in the community on a volunteer basis
- Must have made significant contributions to the Dublin community, outside of work requirements in the past year
- Must attend the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
- May not be a current elected official or running for office
- May not have been recognized by the City in the past 5 years
- Nominations submitted anonymously will not be considered
- May reside outside of Dublin
Please submit a nomination by completing the form online. Only those individuals/couples received through the official nomination form will be considered. Nominations close Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.
About the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
The St. Patrick’s Day parade is a regional parade that appeals to Dublin residents, as well as visitors from throughout Ohio seeking entertainment options. This works in tandem with the Visit Dublin Ohio’s mission to attract regional guests to Dublin. The Dublin Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast begins the day. After the parade, guests often frequent Dublin establishments where Irish entertainment and specials are featured.
