Residents will be asked to contribute meaningful input in the areas of health, wellness, mobility and transportation, housing, and social service delivery.
Input gathered will be utilized in furthering the City’s Aging in Place Plan, outlining priorities for residents to thrive after 55, including improving accessibility of services, filling transportation gaps, and partnering with key organizations and agencies to provide vital services.
Partners in the City of Dublin’s Aging in Place Plan include the Ohio University College of Health Sciences and Professions and nearly 30 agencies and service providers, including Syntero.
“Aging in place” is the ability for individuals to remain in their homes or neighborhoods, safely, independently and comfortably for as long as possible, regardless of age or ability.
With Dublin’s 65-74 year age group projected to grow by 71.8% from 2010-2018 (compared to 25.6% for ages 55-64), the City is prioritizing aging in place initiatives to ensure Dublin is a healthy and vibrant place for all ages to thrive.
In addition to Community Conversation sessions for residents, the City is hosting separate Community Conversations with caregivers to gather input:
