(Dublin, OH) The City of Dublin is investing in the future of the City’s beloved Historic District by working with Heritage Ohio, Ohio’s official historic preservation and Main Street organization.
On March 3, 2020, Heritage Ohio will send a Downtown Assessment Resource Team (D.A.R.T.) to Dublin to provide a community assessment, engage with residents and ultimately provide suggestions for enhancing the revitalization of Historic Dublin.
The D.A.R.T. will work with a committee appointed by City Council to determine priorities and develop consensus on how to foster economic development, preserve historic buildings and promote cultural tourism.
As part of the D.A.R.T. visit, there will be a Community Visioning Session. All are invited to attend:
- When: Tuesday, March 3, 2020
- Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
- Where: Dublin Community Recreation Center, Community Tallas
- What: Community members will gain a greater understanding of the basic tenets of downtown revitalization and set the vision for future growth. Whether you live in Historic Dublin, or visit the area, we need your feedback!
We will be able to maximize the success of this collaboration by receiving ample community participation and engagement, so please consider attending. Following the D.A.R.T. visit, the Team will develop a plan, which will detail the best next steps for enhancing the revitalization of Historic Dublin.

Heritage Ohio, Ohio’s official historic preservation and Main Street organization, assembles a Downtown Assessment Resource Team (D.A.R.T) to visit communities in Ohio that would like assistance in developing or enhancing a downtown revitalization program. The visit occurs over two days and includes a community visioning/public input session.
Historic district revitalization experts from around the state will tour the historic district and meet with community stakeholders. The team will provide a community assessment, hold a community visioning session and ultimately develop a plan, which will detail the best next steps for enhancing the revitalization of Historic Dublin.
The aim of a D.A.R.T. visit is to set priorities and provide the consensus necessary for taking significant steps to provide solid business management to the downtown area. This visit will also serve to introduce the community to the basic building blocks of a comprehensive long-term program: operations, marketing, design and economic vitality.
Dublin City Council appointed stakeholders to serve on the committee for the City’s D.A.R.T. visit.
The type of assistance needed is determined during the preliminary stages of planning the assessment. Heritage Ohio then assembles a team composed of members whose expertise closely matches the needs of the specific community. It is a collaborative effort. D.A.R.T. provides the most value when there is a significant amount of participation on part of the community.
Dublin’s Historic District is bordered by the Scioto River to the east, Indian Run to the north, Cosgray Ditch to the south and Corbins Mill Drive to the west.
