Congratulations to middle schooler, Aashman Datta, top vote-getter in Dublin’s 2021 Virtual Paint the Plow contest. The design will now be painted on a Dublin plow by a local artist.
The City typically partners with Dublin City Schools to have art classes paint plows, but that was not possible this school year due to COVID-19. Instead, students had the opportunity to design their own plow from home.
Finalists were posted on the City’s Facebook page in early February, and the design with the most likes was designated the winner.
The contest was open to anyone 18 or younger who lives in the City of Dublin or within the Dublin City School district.
Check back in early 2022 for details on next year’s paint the plow contest.
To be considered, artwork must:
- be original
- include nothing derogatory, profane or obscene
- be non-partisan
- not incorporate movie or television characters or any other copyrighted material
By submitting your artwork to the City of Dublin, participants consent to it being shared and reprinted by the City on its website, social media platforms and City plow.
