(Dublin, OH) The Dublin Link will be closing at noon Monday, May 4, for deck sealing and painting. This work is expected to take one to two weeks. Painting and sealing are both weather dependent and could not be done until temperatures warmed up. The original plan was to keep the bridge open during most of this work with partial width closures. However, due to physical distancing requirements, we cannot keep the bridge partially open while allowing for adequate space between users.
The Link opened on March 16 and has been open to the public with instructions prominently posted advising users to practice physical distancing, which includes staying six feet away from others on the bridge.
Sealing will help extend the life of the bridge deck and prevent deterioration. The painting of the support beams will protect the steel from corrosion.
We will reopen the bridge as soon as safely possible. The sealing and painting schedule is subject to change. Updates will be provided on the City’s website and social media channels.
