The City of Dublin places a high level of importance on preserving the appearance and integrity of the brick sidewalks in Dublin’s Historic District. Beginning Wednesday, November 13, 2019, crews will begin restoration work in the area outlined on the map below. The areas lined in red will be pressure washed and sanded. The areas marked with green stars will include brick repairs.
The City has contracted with Environmental Management Inc. for this project. The work is expected to take approximately one month to complete, but crews anticipate being in most areas for only a few days. Areas with repair work will take a little longer and involve short-term sidewalk closures. Crews will work to maintain access to all businesses.
On-street parking restrictions are possible in some locations. “No parking” signs will be placed ahead of time when necessary.
Between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., there may be brief, intermittent lane restrictions in the area. Electronic arrow boards will be used to direct traffic when necessary. A portion of Darby Street may be closed during certain times as necessary for equipment staging.
The City thanks our businesses, residents and visitors for their patience as we make these important improvements.
Should you have any questions about this work, please contact Lindsay Weisenauer, Public Affairs Officer, at lweisenauer@dublin.oh.us or by calling 614.704.9742.
These improvements are part of a regular maintenance program that will help keep our sidewalks safe and increase their lifespan. The City plans to evaluate sidewalks in the Historic District each year and will perform maintenance in additional locations as needed.
