(Dublin, Ohio) — In the heart of downtown Dublin, Ohio, along the Scioto River and adjacent to The Dublin Link pedestrian bridge, the all-new Riverside Crossing Park will open more amenities to visitors as it nears completion in spring 2022.
Starting Friday, Oct. 22, visitors to Riverside Crossing Park, located at 6635 Riverside Dr., will get to experience the park’s lower plaza, shared use paths, south lawn and water features. While these features are substantially complete, crews will continue some work in the area. The north lawn and other greenspace will remain closed to allow the grass and other landscaping to establish and is expected to open in spring 2022.
The City of Dublin plans to have a formal ribbon-cutting and opening celebration for Riverside Crossing Park at a later date to be determined.
In addition to these new amenities opening at Riverside Crossing Park, a pedestrian tunnel located at the north end of the park will also open Oct. 22, allowing people to safely cross under Riverside Drive at John Shields Parkway.
“We are excited to open more amenities in Riverside Crossing Park, and come late spring 2022, Riverside Crossing Park will officially join Dublin’s extensive 60+ parks and greenspaces,” says Parks & Recreation Director Matt Earman. “Envisioned as one of Dublin’s most important civic and natural spaces, the Park encompasses both sides of the Scioto River to further enhance and connect Historic Dublin and Bridge Park.”

Riverside Crossing Park is the newest addition to a broader system of regional parks and local recreational systems, linking to these assets through extensive shared use paths, water recreation access points and scenic natural connections.
The east side of the park is elevated outside of the floodplain and will be a center for activities, public gatherings, cultural events and recreational programs.
The west side of the park will be a more naturalized area with connections to the Indian Run greenway, water access and trail systems. The first phase of trails, which includes a loop trail in the open area under the pedestrian bridge, will begin construction later this year and will continue into next spring. Future trails to the north and south are included in the Park’s Master Plan and will be programmed in the City’s Capital Improvements Program budget in the near future.
