Beginning Monday, March 23, John Wright Lane will be closed at High Street through Wednesday, March 25, 2020, due to ongoing utility work.
Columbia Gas is replacing the existing steel gas main line on South High Street between Pinney Hill Lane and John Wright Lane.
Work hours will be 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. This project is expected to take approximately six weeks. The schedule is subject to change. Any changes to the schedule will be communicated as necessary.
During work hours, one lane of traffic will be restricted. One-lane, two-way traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
On-street parking in and around the work zone will not be possible for most of the project. Parking restrictions will be clearly marked with signage.
Gas service will be interrupted toward the end of the project when the new line is complete. A Columbia Gas team member will coordinate with individual residents and businesses to schedule planned outages so that service lines can be transferred to the new main.
