Dublin, OH — Dublin Police and Washington Township Fire EMS responded to a fatal, single-car accident at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 22. The driver, Megan Brideweser of Columbus, 35, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Washington Township Fire Department personnel.
Police say the vehicle appeared to have been traveling eastbound on W. Bridge Street (U.S. 33) before striking a light pole and electrical supply box. Approximately 500 customers south of the intersection subsequently lost power, which was almost completely restored by about 3:45 a.m. A few businesses remained without power as of 10 a.m.
The accident also temporarily shut down W. Bridge Street eastbound at Frantz Road and Frantz Rd. northbound at Corbins Mill Drive.
This accident is under investigation.
