The crossroads of US 33, State Route 161 / Post Road and Hyland Croy Road is under immense development pressure and will change significantly in the coming years. In order to produce the best possible future for this area, a multi-jurisdiction cooperative effort was formed to create a common plan for land use, infrastructure, and economic development. This collaborative planning effort was funded by the City of Dublin, Jerome Township, the City of Marysville, Union County and the Logan, Union, Champaign County Regional Planning Commission (LUC). Planning NEXT was hired as a third party consultant to manage the planning process and community engagement. The process was led by the LUC Regional Planning Commission and included active participation from the NW 33 Innovation Corridor Group.
Two public workshops were held to get feedback about concerns and objectives for the area. Both workshops, one in Jerome Township and one in the City of Dublin, were well attended with more than 70 attendees each. Input from the meetings expressed concern for existing traffic issues in the corridor, the need for increased collaboration among the communities, and the importance of high quality development standards for the area.
A final draft Crossroads Plan has been prepared by Planning NEXT. The final draft plan takes into account land use recommendations, policies, and fiscal objectives of Union County, Jerome Township and the City of Dublin. And it is consistent with the policies and recommendations of the City of Dublin Community Plan and the US 33 Corridor Area Plan

Dublin City Council adopted the Jerome Crossroads Area Plan at the August 22, 2016 Council meeting.
