Speed Limit Changes
- 33E/W will increase from 45 mph to 55 mph
- 270N will increase from 55 mph to 65 mph
- 270S will stay reduced at 55 mph because the lanes remain shifted and are not in their final alignment.
Both ramps from southbound I-270 to US 33 west are expected to open tomorrow—after the morning commute but before the afternoon/evening rush.
Last week, one of the ramps on the northwest I-270/US 33 interCHANGE project closed so crews could install a noise wall. That work is now complete which means there will now be two ramps open for 270 southbound drivers who want to go to Dublin or Marysville.
The signs direct drivers to stay in the far right lane if you want to go to Avery-Muirfield Dr. Left lane is for westbound US 33 thru traffic trying to get to Plain City, Marysville or beyond.
Completing work on these two ramps means all ramps and bridges on the entire project are open before the end of the year, which is what ODOT promised.
Open doesn’t mean complete. Final paving, striping and landscaping still needs to be done on the project. That work will happen next year when temperatures are much warmer.
