“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve this incredible community. Dublin has enriched my life and the lives of my family for decades, and I look forward to giving back by helping guide our city forward. There is so much to be optimistic about, and I’m excited to work side by side with residents, fellow City Council members and city staff as we plan, grow and support our community together.”
– Wendy Johnson
Johnson first came to Dublin in 1991 to work at Ashland Chemical while completing her bachelor of science degree in chemistry at Otterbein College. What she initially expected to be a 12-week internship grew into a career of more than a decade. Along the way, Dublin became home.
She later joined Mettler-Toledo as a product manager, where her work included collaboration with cross-functional teams around the world. Johnson currently works in services marketing at Dell Technologies. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for problem-solving, managing complex initiatives while balancing competing priorities and ultimately delivering practical solutions. This experience that informs her approach to decision-making and service on City Council.
For Johnson, community service has always been about showing up where needed and contributing in everyday, meaningful ways. Much of the Johnson family’s volunteer involvement has grown naturally out of family life, including participation in Cub Scouts, Meals on Wheels and Feeding Hilliard Students, as well as long-standing support for organizations that serve people on the autism spectrum and their families.
Johnson lives in Ballantrae with her husband, Jay, and their two sons, Van and Jake, who attend Miami University and The Ohio State University, respectively.
In order to support faster response and better tracking of requests, the City of Dublin uses JustFOIA to collect, respond to and manage public information requests.
JustFOIA is a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) online application that helps streamline the open records request process for the community and improve efficiencies in getting requested information quickly and accurately.
The application lets community members submit requests for all city records, including police reports. Commonly requested information includes accident reports, copies of resolutions and body-camera video.

The Zoning Code for Dublin is Chapter 153 of the Dublin Code of Ordinances. The Zoning Code sets land development requirements and establishes different uses within individual districts. Zoning regulations address the physical development of a site, such as building height, lot requirements, setbacks from lot lines, minimum numbers of parking spaces, sign types and sizes, and other related regulations.
