What Can Be Recycled?
Rumpke Waste & Recycling is excited to accept clamshell plastic containers. These can be added to your recycling carts starting Nov. 1. This includes:
Dispose of these items at the Dublin Service Center (6555 Shier Rings Road):
The City of Dubin partners with SWACO to collect household hazardous waste (HHW) once a year at Sustainable Saturday. Those who cannot attend the event are encouraged to take their household waste, such as batteries and fluorescent lighting, to one of SWACO’s two HHW dropoff locations.
For a complete list of what can and cannot be recycled, visit RecycleRight.org.
Disposing of large appliances such as refrigerators costs $65 per appliance. This charge and protocol only pertain to appliances that contain Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) material, such as refrigerators, freezers, and dehumidifiers. CFCs must be removed before disposal.
Contact Rumpke directly at 800.828.8171 for disposing of CFC-containing appliances. All other non-CFC-containing appliances, such as stoves, ovens, grills and microwaves, may be requested for pickup as regular bulk items using the GoDublin app.
Cut Boards, fencing, paneling or carpeting into 3-foot lengths with all nails, staples and screws removed to prevent puncture wounds. Please tie in 18-inch bundles weighing no more than 50 pounds. Use the GoDublin App to schedule a bulk pick-up.
The City is eligible for a Rumpke discount with the help of our senior residents. Those 60-years-old and up can contact the Dublin Service Center for information at 614.410.4750.

The City of Dublin collects signs after election season at a 24/7 drop-off in the City Development Building parking lot (5200 Emerald Parkway). Once collected, the materials will be taken to the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) to be recycled.
There will be two bins onsite. One is for signs, the other for metal stakes that go in the ground. Please separate the sign from the stakes and place them in the correct bin. SWACO will only collect materials that are separated.
If you have questions, please get in touch with Public Information Officer Madi Kregel at mkregel@dublin.oh.us
Trash and recycle bins should be removed promptly after pick-up and kept indoors where possible. If kept outdoors, they must be properly screened from view. If you are in doubt as to what screening may be needed contact City of Dublin Planning at 614.410.4670 for assistance.
Per Dublin’s contract with Rumpke, residents have two options regarding refuse containers.
In order to support faster response and better tracking of requests, the City of Dublin uses JustFOIA to collect, respond to and manage public information requests.
JustFOIA is a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) online application that helps streamline the open records request process for the community and improve efficiencies in getting requested information quickly and accurately.
The application lets community members submit requests for all city records, including police reports. Commonly requested information includes accident reports, copies of resolutions and body-camera video.
