Election Signs

As the November election approaches, residents are asked to remember City ordinances regarding election signs.

Finding the right location for your signs is important. Please follow the following regulations:

  • Signs may not be affixed to any public utility, pole, tree, street signs or natural object.
  • They cannot be located within a public right-of-way, public park or public property, including tree lawns.
  • No signs are permitted in the center of roundabouts or in the approach or exits of roundabouts.
  • Signs may not create a safety or visibility hazard for motorists and pedestrians.
  • When placing signs on private property, permission must be obtained from the property owners.

Non-compliant signs in the public right-of-way or improperly displayed will be removed by City staff. Non-compliant signs on private property will receive a violation notice from Code Enforcement.

All election signs should be removed immediately after the election.
