(Dublin, OH) The City of Dublin announced that Jim Connolly has accepted the position of Director of Information Technology, a role in which he will lead advancement of the City’s technological infrastructure, security and digital services. Connolly comes to Dublin from his role as director of information technology with the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, a role he had held since 2000.
As an original member of the hockey club’s front office, Connolly was responsible for the implementation and development of technical aspects of the business and hockey operations. He oversaw the build-out of technical components relating to the construction of Nationwide Arena and led a team that supported technology initiatives for the Blue Jackets and Nationwide Arena, including operational and strategic planning, project leadership, network infrastructure, communications, cyber security, Wi-Fi and cloud initiatives.
In his new role, Connolly will lead all aspects of the City’s IT department, including network infrastructure, data management, cybersecurity and the development of innovative solutions to improve public services. He will work closely with City leadership to ensure seamless integration and alignment of technological initiatives with Dublin’s strategic goals.

Connolly holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Ohio University and a master of business administration from Franklin University.
