City of Dublin Welcomes Mike Barker as New Deputy City Manager

(Dublin, OH) – The City of Dublin is pleased to welcome Mike Barker as the new Deputy City Manager. Barker holds an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Youngstown State University and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the City.

Since 2021, Barker has served as the Public Service Director for the City of New Albany, where he has held progressively responsible management positions and been instrumental in overseeing critical municipal functions, including roadways, engineering, fleet, forestry, facilities and parks and open space. Additionally, he has managed community development, planning and inspection in engineering.

In Dublin, he will initially oversee daily operations and services including Engineering, Public Service, Fleet & Facilities, Transportation & Mobility and Asset Management.

Prior to his tenure at New Albany, he gained valuable experience with the City of Westerville and the private sector as an engineering consultant and project manager, providing leadership and representation for more than one hundred residential, commercial and industrial development projects throughout central Ohio.

Barker describes himself as a hard-working and honest leader. His extensive experience and dedication to public service make him an excellent addition to Dublin’s leadership team.
