
(Dublin, Ohio) – At its Jan. 5, 2026, organizational meeting, Dublin City Council elected Chris Amorose Groomes to serve as mayor and Cathy De Rosa as vice mayor for two-year terms.
Mayor Amorose Groomes was first elected as an at-large Council Member in 2015 and re-elected in 2019 and 2023. She has served as Mayor for the past two years. De Rosa was first elected as Ward 4 representative in 2018 and re-elected in 2022 and 2026. She previously served as Vice Mayor in 2020-2021 and 2022-2023.
The Mayor is a life-long Dublin resident and owner of Amorose Landscape Service. Mayor Amorose Groomes also serves as the chair of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission and was tapped by the National League of Cities to serve on the Information Technology and Communications Federal Advocacy Committee.
Vice Mayor De Rosa moved to Dublin with her family in 1994. She was an executive at Dublin-based OCLC for more than a decade – leading global marketing, customer service and sales organizations across the Americas. Today, De Rosa provides consultancy and advisory services to educational, governmental and non-profit organizations.
Every two years following the election of the four ward or three at-large Dublin City Council Members, the Council as a whole elects a mayor and vice mayor at its first meeting in January.
During the November 2025 elections, four ward representatives were elected from their respective districts to serve the Dublin community. They were sworn in during the Jan. 5 meeting. Cathy De Rosa and Amy Kramb were both re-elected to represent Wards 4 and 1, respectively. Greg Lam, MD, was elected from Ward 3 and Wendy Johnson was elected from Ward 2. Their new four-year terms will end Dec. 31, 2029. The three at-large Council Members’ seats will be up for election in 2027.
As part of the Jan. 5 organizational meeting, Council also approved their 2026 Goals:
Foster Community Connection and Well-Being
- Advance wellness programs, innovative partnerships and expanded access to social, digital and mobility networks, foster a community where all residents can thrive physically, mentally and socially, through the Dublin Wellness Alliance and other programs.
Advance Metro Center Revitalization
- Execute redevelopment strategies outlined in the Metro Center Revitalization Plan and Design Framework. Secure critical land and complete zoning code and design guidelines to promote catalytic redevelopment within Metro Center.
Create a Premier Athletic and Recreation Campus
- Advance the vision of a premier destination that connects community, drives economic development and delivers a uniquely Dublin experience. Develop a preferred concept and translate it into an implementable plan that positions the facility as a national leader in sports and recreation and a source of local pride.
Catalyze Economic Development in the West Innovation District
- Adopt the West Innovation District Integrated Implementation Study and advance the strategic infrastructure and development initiatives it outlines to unlock the District’s full economic and innovation potential.
During the Jan. 5 meeting, Mayor Amorose Groomes announced appointments of members to serve on Council committees and as representatives to community organizations, including the following:
