(Dublin, Ohio) – A standing ovation is in order as the Abbey Theater of Dublin is announced BroadwayWorld Columbus’ Favorite Local Theatre for the fourth year in a row.
Along with this esteemed title, the Abbey Theater brought home four other 2025 BroadwayWorld Columbus Awards. ‘Bobby and The Chimps’ received Best Play while scoring Abbey Theater of Dublin Supervisor, Joe Bishara, Best Direction of a Play.
Actors of the Abbey continued to reign in the accolades with Francesca DiFranceso winning Best Cabaret/Concert/Solo Performance in ‘Mae West: After Dark’ and Best Supporting Performer in a Musical went to Vivie Bishara for her work in ‘Fun Home.’
“This recognition reflects the Abbey Theater’s commitment to serving our community through meaningful collaborations, high-quality performances and artistic excellence on stage,” said Abbey Theater Supervisor Joe Bishara. “We are deeply grateful to our supporters and the BroadwayWorld Columbus theater community for recognizing the impact of this work.”
