Bridge Street District Amendment 1 – Section 156.033 Review Procedures and Submittal Requirements
On April 8, 2019, Dublin City Council approved Ordinance 09-19 that significantly changed the review process and submittal requirements for the Bridge Street District zoning code. In Summary:
- The new submittal applications are the Concept Plan, Preliminary Development Plan, and Final Development Plan. An optional Informal review step has been codified. These application types replace the Basic Plan Review, Development Plan Review, and Site Plan Review.
- The Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) is the required reviewing body for all applications, unless a Development Agreement is proposed (in those instances, City Council is the required reviewing body for the Concept Plan only, PZC would remain the required reviewing body for the subsequent applications).
- The Architectural Review Board (ARB) remains the required reviewing body within the Historic District.
- The Administrative Review Team (ART) no longer provides recommendations to a required reviewing body within the Bridge Street District, however, the Planning staff will continue to prepare their staff reports with recommendations.
The amendment will be effective on May 8, 2019. New application forms and checklists will be posted by that date. In the interim, applicants and the public are encouraged to contact the Planning Division with any questions. Below is the background material as this amendment was prepared.
