(Dublin, OH) The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to City of Dublin for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2019.
The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
“Dublin remained competitive in 2019, and continues to display financial resiliency, as a result of strategic planning, quality development and the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain a diverse economic base,” Stiffler said.
The report consists of three sections: the Introductory Section, the Financial Section, and the Statistical Section. Read the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report here.
“We hope that Dublin’s example will encourage other government officials in their efforts to achieve and maintain GFOA’s high standard of excellence in financial reporting,” said Michele Mark Levine GFOA Director, Technical Services.
The City also received GFOA’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Financial Reporting for its popular annual financial report (PAFR) and GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. Additionally, the City joined the Ohio Treasurer’s OhioCheckbook.com in 2019, providing an interactive way to access financial data.
