Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dublin’s State of the City was presented virtually in 2020 and 2021. The City is excited to host an in-person event again this year, bringing together the community in the spirit of transparency, accountability and civic engagement.
“Despite the challenges presented by the extended COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Dublin remains fiscally strong and strategically poised for continued economic vitality,” McDaniel states. “Our City Council and City employees take great pride in serving this community, and we are excited to bring the community together to share our accomplishments and priorities with our residents, businesses and community partners.”
In addition to the presentations, the event will also feature several exhibits during the community reception, including the Dublin Police Drone Unit, the City’s pop-up mobility concierge, and the replica of the Dublin Link made out of 2,000 LEGO bricks that was recently unveiled by Visit Dublin!
The 2022 State of the City is part of three exciting days in Dublin, which also include the Riverside Celebration dedicating the Dublin Link pedestrian bridge and Riverside Crossing Park on March 11 and the “Greenest, Grandest Parade” on Saturday, March 12.
