The City has assumed responsibility for street sign maintenance within Muirfield Village at the request of the Muirfield Association. The City has developed a phased work plan to replace the neighborhood’s vertical wooden street signs with standard City of Dublin street signs, which will be more visible and easier to read. Dublin staff started the first phase of sign replacements in spring 2019 and is resuming installation in late summer/early fall.
Dublin crews will begin by replacing street name signs along the major roadways, including Glick Road, Memorial Drive, Muirfield Drive and Avery Road. Crews will then proceed through residential neighborhoods, working from Brand Road north and west of Muirfield Drive, replacing residential street name signs. In all, 101 street name signs will be replaced in 2019, with the remainder to be replaced over the next few years.
The existing wooden street name signposts will be removed by cutting off at ground level and the area will be restored.
