Yard waste, trash or recycling collection running behind?
Please leave your containers/carts at the side of the road for collection the next day.
If it is not collected the next day, please submit a request using GoDublin to notify us. Please report missed collections between 3 p.m. on collection day to 3 p.m. the day after collection day. This will ensure that your request is received by the City and communicated to Rumpke in a timely manner. Using the smartphone app or web portal, click “Request” and then “Create a Request,” which takes you to all of the options, including “Refuse, Recycling & Yard Waste.” From there you can select which option is appropriate for your situation.
Another tip: Check to see if your neighbors’ waste has been collected. If the whole street has not been serviced, this is likely a Rumpke delay. If yours is the only missed collection, you should enter a service request using GoDublin right away, as this was likely a mistake.

The essential employees at Rumpke Waste & Recycling are working around the clock to keep communities clean and green.
With extra yard waste, spring cleaning and many still working from home, the amount of material placed curbside remains above average, meaning collection requires more team members to finish on time. Simultaneously, it’s harder than ever to employ qualified drivers in the waste and recycling industry. This has contributed to recent delays.
We’re extremely sorry for the disruption. Our intention is to provide service to every household and normalize service times as quickly as possible. In an effort to do so, crews are working longer hours and we’re bringing in assistance from other Rumpke locations. We’re also growing our team by raising wages, accepting more applicants, doubling recruitment advertising and enhancing sign-on and stay-on bonuses. We’re evaluating and starting new initiatives weekly.
In the meantime, please continue placing materials curbside the night before your regular service day and leave them out until collected.
Other small ways to help include:
• Breaking down cardboard boxes
• Following the 50 lb. weight limit for all containers/items
• Placing containers in a highly visible location
• Putting loose yard waste in biodegradable bags or rigid containers
• Tying branches into bundles less than 4 ft. long and 2 ft. wide
• When possible, placing several large items out weekly (instead of all at once)
• When possible, limiting curbside waste by donating clothes, furniture and toys, and bringing large items to community disposal days
• Properly disposing of hazardous materials like batteries, paint and propane tanks, which are not accepted by Rumpke
