Skip the printing, writing, envelopes, stamps and checks—file and pay your taxes online with E-File and E-Pay.
E-File
To E-File, use the Account Number on the postcard you received in the mail, or use the Account Lookup feature. Digital copies (PDF, JPG or TIF) of any and all applicable return forms are accepted, such as: Federal Form 1040, Form W2, 1099, K-1 and Schedules C, E and F. Upon completion of the return, you will receive a confirmation number indicating your return was successfully e-filed.
Extensions to file are not extensions of time to pay; if an extension has been granted by the IRS, it will be honored by the City of Dublin.
If your tax liability (after credits) is anticipated to be greater than $200, you are required to make quarterly estimated payments (April 15, June 15, September 15, January 15).
You can file jointly with the City of Dublin even if you filed separately for the IRS. There is no advantage to filing separately at the municipal level and it would greatly help us to process returns more expediently and more efficiently.
You cannot file a request for a refund electronically. Requests for refunds must be submitted on paper with proper documentation attached and sent to: City of Dublin, Division of Taxation, PO Box 800, Dublin, Ohio 43017-0900
Additionally, you cannot e-file an individual return if an individual is trying to take Federal Form 2106 business expenses against employee wages. In the rare situation that you qualify for these expenses at the Federal level, please contact our office on how to properly complete a paper return.
Last, you cannot e-file an individual return utilizing a net operating loss carry-forward for Tax Year 2018. The Ohio General Assembly has not passed clarifying language on how to properly utilize a net operating loss carry-forward for municipal purposes. Individual returns filed utilizing a net operating loss carry-forward must be submitted on a paper return with proper documentation.
