Improving and preserving the infrastructure of the City of Dublin’s sanitary sewer system benefits all Dublin residents and property owners. Sewer lining is an investment in our community.
The 2020 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project is substantially complete. Insituform Technologies, LLC, a contractor hired by the City of Dublin, installed Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP). CIPP is a state-of the-art installation of flexible pipe into the existing clay tile pipe. Curing the pipe with very hot water or steam for several hours results in a hard, seamless plastic lining in the existing pipe. This process does not require excavation in most cases. CIPP helps increase the life of the sanitary sewer pipe by 30 to 50 years and re-establish the integrity of the sanitary sewer system by reducing clean water infiltration.
