Join us for Trunk or Treat
The City of Dublin Halloween Spooktacular offers opportunities for businesses/organizations to showcase their brands in the Trunk or Treat Trail on Thursday, October 22. Spooktacular is a family-friendly event designed to provide a safe celebration in our community for children ages 2 – 12. From 3-8 p.m. games, crafts, dance performances, haunted trail and much more will occur both inside the Dublin Community Recreation Center and on the lawn east of the Center in Coffman Park. Below is the information you need and the link to apply online by Friday, August 28, 2020to guarantee your participation.
New in 2020
The Trunk or Treat Trail has a maximum capacity of 33 participants. The popularity of this event has left many companies on the waiting list for several years. In the event that we have more than 33 participants, we will conduct a random drawing and notify all applicants regarding participation by Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
Sensory-friendly accommodations will be available for families who would benefit from a less stimulating atmosphere between 3-3:30 p.m.
Guidelines
- Each group will have a 15’ x 15’ area to distribute candy from your car or truck. We strongly encourage you to decorate your vehicle and come in costume.
- Each area should have at least two people in attendance from 3-8 p.m. Vehicle must be on-site by 2:30 p.m. and may not leave until after close.
- The main giveaway to each child should be candy or a child-friendly item, not a promotional item (i.e. company keychain or button). A flier or a coupon may be offered to the children or their parents.
- Please make sure you have enough candy/items to last the entire event. We will be distributing nearly 4,000 tickets. It is best if you multiply that 4,000 by the number of people you have distributing and the number of pieces of candy you plan to give each child. (4,000 children x 2 distributors x 2 pieces per child = 8,000 pieces of candy)
- In an effort to keep the lines moving, we ask that there be no sign-ups or registrations on-site and limit activities such as games, photos, etc. Please let us know if you will have a mascot or other character – we may place those at the end of the line or have them staged elsewhere.
