The Coffman Park east playground is now open! All of the rubber mulch was removed and replaced with natural wood playground mulch.
Background:
New play surfacing is coming to the Coffman Park east playground! On Tuesday, Jan. 26, the playground will close to replace the mulch surfacing. The west playground in Coffman Park will remain open.
The loose rubber mulch at the east playground will be replaced with natural wood playground mulch. As Park Operations phases out loose rubber mulch it will provide a cost savings, as only one material (natural wood mulch) will be kept in stock.
This project is weather dependent, and conditions may impact the duration of the closure.
