Regular Schedule
Yard waste collection takes place in Dublin every Monday, year round. There is no need to schedule this service. Grass clippings, leaves, weeds and garden plants may be placed in biodegradable yard waste paper bags or a container designated for yard waste only to be picked up by the City’s solid waste collection service. Collection can occur any time between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each Monday. Be sure to have your bags or containers out to the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure collection.
Yard waste is organic waste generated during regular household gardening and landscaping such as grass clippings, leaves, twigs, branches, and shrubbery.
Yard Waste Guidelines
Unacceptable yard waste includes plastic bags, pots, food waste, rocks, dirt and pumpkins.
- Branches: Cut branches to 3 ft. or shorter. Tie into bundles with string or twine (no wider than 2 feet). Branches longer than 3 ft. will not be collected by Rumpke.
- Loose Material: Place in biodegradable bags or rigid containers marked “Yard Waste.” Do not line with plastic bags.
- Weight Limit: Each bag, bundle or container should not exceed 50 pounds.
- Holiday Trees: Please remove all decorations and place Christmas trees at the curb, free of any wrapping or bags, by 7 a.m. on Mondays. Trees should be cut to lengths of no more than 4 feet.
Please have materials at the curb by 7 a.m. Residents may also drop off their yard waste and chipping material at Kurtz Bros., 6279 Houchard Road, at no charge. Residents are encouraged to leave grass clippings on their lawns to work back into the soil.
The refuse and recycling schedule may change during a holiday week. See the Holiday Schedule for exact weeks.

Yard Waste Diversion
Yard waste diversions reduce our reliance on landfills, while also protecting and enriching the environment by creating usable compost. Yard waste includes any natural material collected during the care of lawns, gardens, vines and trees. The City is not required to pick up yard waste placed at the curb, unless it is part of the curbside composting program or curbside chipper service. Dumping yard waste anywhere within the City, including public property such as parks, is prohibited and will be considered illegal dumping.
Yard Waste Companies:
