Trees and plants, including some invasive species, must be cleared to allow for construction of Dublin’s iconic pedestrian/bicycle bridge on the Scioto River prior to March 31, 2017. The area was determined by the footprint of the bridge and required access to construct the bridge.
The City of Dublin is dedicated to conserving and protecting the City’s existing trees, wooded areas and fence rows to the greatest extent possible. Trees that come down will be replaced, or funding will be provided to plant replacement trees throughout the community.
Through a combination of natural regeneration and the reintroduction of nursery-grown native plants, the area will be returned to a more desirable and natural environment, promoting growth of native species and wildlife into the future. For more information see the City’s Tree Preservation Code.
