(Dublin, Ohio) — The City of Dublin’s Communications & Marketing team proudly received three City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) awards during the national conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Out of more than 1,166 entries from 365 jurisdictions across the U.S. and Canada, Dublin stood out among 141 finalists representing 35 states and Canada. The City’s projects earned recognition across multiple categories in the 2025 Savvy Awards competition, which honors the best in government communications.

Dublin News Now is the City’s weekly e-newsletter, delivering timely and easy-to-read updates directly to subscribers’ inboxes. With concise headlines, quick summaries and links to learn more, the newsletter has become a trusted way for the community to stay informed about City services, events and initiatives. Since January 2024, Dublin News Now has delivered more than 75 editions with standout results — including an average open rate of 49%, well above industry benchmarks. With more than 15,000 subscribers, the newsletter reaches approximately 30% of Dublin households each week, consistently driving web traffic spikes and connecting residents with important updates.

The Dublin Rec App streamlines access to the City’s recreation programs and facilities, offering mobile registration, class schedules, event calendars and account management at members’ fingertips. In its first full year, the app logged thousands of downloads and provided a convenient and user-friendly way for individuals to engage with the Dublin Community Recreation Center.
“Our Rec App makes it easier than ever for residents to connect with City programs, register for activities and explore wellness opportunities,” says Multimedia Communications Strategist Shirley Blaine. “This award celebrates how we’ve used technology to improve access and create a better experience for our community.”

“My Dublin” Video Series
Award of Excellence
The “My Dublin” video series spotlights the people who make Dublin exceptional, featuring authentic stories from residents who share their experiences, traditions and ties to the community. The series emphasizes diversity, belonging and connection, encouraging viewers to see their neighbors in a new light. Since its launch, the first seven videos in the series have reached more than 61,700 people, generating over 74,000 views and 1,300-plus engagements — a clear sign the community is connecting with these stories.
“This video series moves beyond trends and traditional talking points to truly reflect and honor the multiculturalism that is at the heart of the Dublin community,” Public Information Officer Rebecca Myers says. “This award recognizes the value in neighbors learning and caring about their neighbors while celebrating the diversity that makes us each unique.”
Together, these award-winning projects demonstrate Dublin’s commitment to reaching people where they are — whether through clear digital communication, innovative tools that improve daily life or storytelling that celebrates the community’s diversity. By combining creativity with purpose, the City’s Communications & Marketing team continues to strengthen connections between residents, businesses and local government.
