The Dublin Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve reaccreditation by verifying it meets professional standards. The Northwest Regional Emergency Communications Center is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve initial accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards. Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation programs require agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations and support services. As part of the Law Enforcement on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a Public Information Session on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 6 pm. The session will be conducted in the Courtroom of the Dublin Justice Center, located at 6565 Commerce Parkway, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
The Assessment Team Leader will chair the Public Information Session for the Commission. The amount of time for comments will be limited to 10 minutes and must address the Department’s ability to comply with applicable standards. Written comments may be submitted to the Commission’s office prior to the Commission’s meeting to consider granting accreditation. These written comments should be sent to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), 13575 Heathcote Boulevard, Suite 320, Gainesville, Virginia 20155.
Agency employees and the public are also invited to offer comments to the Assessment Team by calling 614.410.4803 on Tuesday, November 7 between the hours of 3 pm and 5 pm. Comments will be limited to 10 minutes and must address the Department’s ability to comply with CALEA standards. CALEA assessors will determine the Department’s compliance with applicable standards.
