(DUBLIN, Ohio) The Dublin Police department has identified the driver and passengers involved in a crash on Muirfield Court at 11:04 pm Friday June 1.
Police confirm 37 year-old David Crawford of Upper Arlington was operating his 2014 BMW Northbound on Muirfield Court when the vehicle left the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert. The vehicle then went airborne into a tree, struck several other trees, crossed a driveway and landed in a ditch.
Crawford was evaluated on scene by Washington Township medics before being questioned by investigators under suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OVI). A blood test for alcohol was performed at OhioHealth Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware before he was released. Charges are pending the completion of the crash investigation.
Three others were in the vehicle with Crawford at the time and suffered varying injuries:
- William “Bud” Cauley (28) – Passenger, Palm Beach Gardens Florida
- Thomas Nichols (24) – Passenger, Granville Ohio
- James Wisniewski (34) – Passenger, Dublin Ohio
At this time, the circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation.

Dublin Police Investigating Serious Injury Crash
(DUBLIN, Ohio) The Dublin Police Department is investigating a serious single vehicle accident that occurred Friday June 1.
Police and Washington Township medics were called to the five-thousand block of Muirfield Court in Delaware County at 11:04 pm. Upon arrival, officers and medics found a severely damaged vehicle with four males suffering various injuries.
The three passengers were transported to a Columbus hospital with critical injures, where they are recovering. The driver was placed in custody and questioned by investigators. At this time, charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
As the case remains an open crash investigation, identities of the driver and passengers are not being released at this time.
