(Dublin, OH) – The City of Dublin has received the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA)’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.
The award reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. Award recipients have pioneered efforts to improve the quality of budgeting and provide an excellent example for other governments throughout North America.
Randy Bartels, auditor for the City of Lima presented the award on behalf of GFOA at the August 13 Dublin City Council meeting.
“The receipt of this award reflects the professionalism and commitment of numerous individuals as well as many hours of hard work,” said Bartels. “It is indicative of the high level and high degree of dedication and leadership on the part of the City’s finance director Angel Mumma, and City elected officials.”
“I want to thank Melody Kennedy, our budget manager,” said Mumma. “She does a tremendous job compiling the document and working with each department.”
The City of Dublin also received GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reportingin January 2018.
